Introduction

We have been given a brief to produce our own music video, working as a group to recreate an existing music video in our own way.  We were given a sheet with a choice of 48 songs therefore we had to narrow our choice down between 8 then further between 2. It was important that we then generated ideas for each song, deciding what type of video we would produce-concept, narrative or performance and how we would best achieve this with the equipment and time we have.  We then created 2 detailed mind maps to help us make our decision taking into consideration time, location, equipment and the meaning of the song. As a group it was important that we worked together to generate ideas and agree on our final choice of song.  After considering all of these factors we have chosen to produce a music video originally performed and sang by The Black eyes Peas- I Gotta Feeling.  Throughout this unit we will work together to generate ideas, research location, props and excisitng projects of a simular nature it is imporamt we produce a scheduale and risk assessments with each team member being assigned to a role allowing us to split the workload between us equally to improve the quality of our video.
